I love reading, movies, cooking, crossword puzzles, Scrabble, knitting, museums, occasional weekends in the country and once-in-a-while I love a good road trip. I've lived in Manhattan for 40 years, originally from Chicago. I have some family here and others scattered across the South, in Georgia, Tennessee and Arkansas. New Orleans is my favorite American vacation city. I've never married and have no children, but am very close to my nieces and nephews and grandnieces. Though I'm an accomplished cook and love to entertain, I also love searching out great Cheap Eats places, hence, my love of New Orleans. I routinely read The New York Times and The New Yorker. I am spiritual but not religious, and proudly a liberal and a humanist.

The qualities I look for are kindness, open-mindedness and intelligence, but who doesn't, I suppose.
